About the event
Nightly programs are held at Apgar Visitor Center Plaza on Sundays - Wednesdays and at St. Mary Visitor Center's Dusty Sky Observatory Wednesdays - Saturdays .Â
Programs generally include a tour of the night sky, including constellations and astrononmical objects with the assistance of telescopes, and the importance of dark skies. Programs can depend on weather and sky conditions. Restrooms and drinking water are available at both locations. Both locations are wheelchair accessible. If you plan on attending an astronomy program it is important to come prepared. Wear warm clothing and come prepared for wind in St. Mary. Bring a headlamp or flashlight so you can safely move around in the dark. Seating is not provided at the Dusty Star Observatory so bring a chair for a more comfortable viewing experience.
